Day 01 :

Coastal Departure – Amboseli National Park

Your safari begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Watamu, Malindi, or Mombasa followed by a scenic drive inland toward Amboseli National Park.

Along the way, you will pass through beautiful Kenyan countryside with views of local villages and expansive savannah landscapes.

Arrive at Amboseli in time for lunch at your safari lodge or tented camp.

In the afternoon, enjoy your first exciting game drive across the open plains of Amboseli. The park is famous for its large elephant herds, often seen walking gracefully with the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro rising in the background.

Day 02 :

Full Day Safari in Amboseli National Park

Wake up early for a sunrise game drive, when wildlife is most active and the morning light creates spectacular photography opportunities.

Explore the diverse ecosystems of Amboseli National Park, including its marshlands, open plains, and acacia woodlands.

Amboseli’s wetlands attract large concentrations of wildlife, making it one of the best parks in Kenya for close-up animal viewing.

Animals commonly seen include:

Large elephant families
Lions and cheetahs
Giraffes and zebras
Buffalo and antelopes
Numerous bird species such as pelicans, herons, and flamingos

Return to the lodge for breakfast and relaxation before another afternoon game drive exploring different areas of the park.

Day 03 :

Amboseli – Ziwani Sanctuary

After breakfast, depart Amboseli and travel toward the peaceful Ziwani Sanctuary, located between Amboseli and Tsavo West National Park.

Arrive at your lodge or camp in time for lunch and relaxation.

In the afternoon, enjoy a guided nature walk within the sanctuary. Unlike national parks where walking is restricted, Ziwani allows visitors to explore the wilderness on foot with an experienced guide.

During the walk you may see:

Hippos in the Sante River
Crocodiles
Various bird species
Smaller wildlife such as antelopes and monkeys

Later in the evening, embark on a night game drive, a rare safari activity that allows you to observe nocturnal animals such as bush babies, genets, civets, and possibly even hunting predators.

Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 04 :

Morning Nature Walk – Return to the Coast

Arrive in Watamu, Malindi, or Mombasa in the afternoon, marking the end of your 4-day Amboseli and Ziwani safari adventure.
